JUNIORS

St Mary’s Amateur Boxing Club is open boxers, and potential boxers, of all ages and we welcome everyone, from beginners to championship boxers. For any young boxers, we have a wide range of training courses and sessions aimed at turning them from complete novices to competent and fully trained boxers in no time.

Our friendly and professional trainers are second to none. They have years of experience of training junior boxers and know how to get the most out of them. We run junior training sessions throughout the week and it doesn’t matter if your child has never been before or has been a few times, our trainers will mould the session around their skill level and experience.

Open membership is essential for St Mary’s Amateur Boxing Club to meet the requirement of public benefit that applies to our charity. Our club will not operate restrictions in its membership provisions and will encoure community participation. All members will be subject to the regulations of the terms and reference of the charity. By joining the club, you will be deemed to accept these regulations and codes of practice that the club has adopted to ensure all present and future members receive fair and equal treatment.

SENIORS

We hold a wide variety of training sessions for our senior members and we can tailor our boxing sessions to suit any skill or experience level. Unlike in some boxing clubs, our members feel completely comfortable and happy in their surroundings and seniors are able to train as much or as little as they like. There are no age restrictions and if you feel young enough to box, you can do just that!

We run a range of training sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please see our trainers’ contact details and session times at the bottom of this page for more information. Our friendly and approachable trainers have years of boxing experience and are used to training people of all ages. We can tailor our training sessions around individual ability levels and our trainers will make sure that everyone moves forward at the same pace.

We have been training amateur boxers for 90 years and our boxers have ranged from the very young to seniors. British Heavyweight boxer Tom Dallas and former Commonwealth, European and WBU Bantamweight champion Johnny Armour are both former St Mary's boxers.
