St Ives Show Saturday 7^th October

St Marys ABC travelled to St Ives ABC’s dinner show in Peterborough this past weekend. With only one boxer competing in Frankie Dawson having his second contest for the club.

Frankie was competing against the home boxer from St Ives and performed tremendously well winning a unanimous points decision. Frankie won all three rounds executing his game plan really well set by his coaches. Frankie applied pressure for all three rounds scoring shots to the head and body of his opponent while maintaining a good defence for himself. Frankie was very close to securing a stoppage win in the second round although his brave opponent returned for the third round to see the contest out. Frankie is one of many boxers improving each week for the club and if he continues to grow and learn he will be one to watch out for in the future for sure!
