In action at the weekend was young prospect Lewis Southgate at the Berinsfield ABC open show in Oxfordshire on Sunday 10^th, he was boxing Michael McDonough a tough opponent that had some very good wins on his card. Lewis being the taller boxer used his jab effectively from the start, which prevented the his short stocky opponent from getting inside and landing. This was the theme throughout the contest and McDonough became more frustrated as the fight went on, the local boy had a lot of support but by the end of the last round the atmosphere was subdued. Lewis won by unanimous decision which was his 7^thconsecutive victory.
