The class A ( boxers born 1997 ) under 60 kg National 1/4 final produced a debatable verdict as Lion clubs Louis Isaacs took a spilt decision over St Mary's Lee Mills.
The very strong Isaacs pressed well to win the first, but in round two his forward march was slowed as Mills from Gillingham began to land fast combinations to head and body.
For most ringside Mills not only outworked, but also out landed his opponent from London with solid blows all the way to the final bell.
However the judges disagreed and awarded a split decision to Londoner Isaacs, with a single point separating the scores.
Getting to the last 8 boxers Nationally is a fantastic achievement, and all at St Mary's are extremely proud of Lee.
