Fantastic Fifty For Dan Woledge.

Date: Mon 11th November 2013

Daniel Woledge was competing in his 50thbout for St Mary’s at the weekend in the quarter finals of the CYP national championships, he was up against Randall Bronyay of Bromley and Downham ABC who was an old friend of Dan’s during his time at the Frank Bruno Boxing academy. As soon as the first bell went the friendship was put aside as both boxers were looking to make an fast start, Dan quickly took control of the pace and was landing the cleaner shots in the first round. In the second round Dan started to dominate and Bronyay was forced on the ropes, after taking a flurry of heavy blows the referee stepped in and gave the Bromley boxer a standing count, shortly after the boxing resumed Dan quickly applied the pressure landing heavy shots to the head and finishing the bout with two body shots. The referee gave a second count and stopped the contest around two minutes into the second round. “ A good performance for his 50th bout and he now moves onto the Southern Semi Final in Newbury on 24th November”
