Enriko wins bout on first round stoppage

Friday 11th October St Mary’s ABC travelled to Bristol with their 2 X European Heavyweight Champion Enriko Itauma to face Ireland’s National Heavyweight Champion Bernie McDonagh as part of Western Counties V County Mayo. 

The bout started at a fast pace with Itauma finding his range early damaging the Irishman’s nose. The action resumed & it was clear Itauma was a class above showing great footwork & scoring counter shots which resulted in a standing count & the Irish team throwing in the towel for a 1st round stoppage victory for the Chatham Champion. 

It was a great scalp of another national champion for Itauma & good work leading up to him flying out to Germany on the 26th October where he will be representing England in an international box cup.
